Would this be practical for a business?
My friend wants to open a Center, she is getting her degree in Dog Training from an Online College at the moment.
When she opens a Center, she was two different staff.
One group would handle the owners, the business, and the people who would be used as assistants but wouldnt be Certified in training. Would this group need a business degree?
The second would be trainers, all certified and would handle only the dogs.
Would this be practical? Or do you think its better to have a relationship with the trainer instead of through the managers or whatever.
I think thats what she was talking about, I could have it wrong.
What kind of dog should I get?
I really want a dog. But my mom & step dad are pretty much against an animal in the house because of the shedding and what not. Plus I have a 5 year autistic brother so that worries them more. Also we don't have the backyard fenced in. So I need suggestions for a dog that doesn't shed like crazy, isn't high strung, easy to train, and isn't too big.
How to train an aggressive adopted dog?
I've tried to find online a better solution, but anything along the lines of aggression is either directed toward people or to train them as puppies. My dog, Vixen, is over two years old and we adopted her with the knowledge that she doesn't get along with other dogs. Without much money for an obedience class, I would prefer to try any options I have to work with on my own.
My new dog is food and toy possessive against other animals?
I adopted him from a rescue group today. I knew going in that he was food/toy possessive. He lets humans take his toys and food away. However he gets stiff and nippy when my other dog approaches him while he is eating or playing. I have read plenty of helpful articles to deal with human vs. dog possessiveness but not dog vs. dog possessiveness. Any ideas or links would be great.
