Starting a sheet music collection is easy, once you’ve decided what you want to collect. Sheet music is inexpensive and relatively easy to find. You can find music at yard sales, antique shows and on the internet. Only music that is very scarce or rare is expensive. Most pieces can be found at a price between three and twenty five dollars. Extremely rare sheet music can carry a price of up to a thousand dollars, but few pieces fall into this category. You will find music in any color graphic or subject matter you are looking for.

People collect sheet music in many ways. Sometimes sheet music is collected by the genre or songs. You could put together a history of music in America with a sheet music collection. You could do this with the entire history of our country or concentrate on one time period or decade. The possibilities are endless – be creative when building your collection! Songs have been written about most important events in our history, including wars, plane crashes and natural disasters. Themes such as love or the evolution of images of women in music are popular themes for sheet music collections. Other collectors focus on one composer or cover artist.

Ragtime music from the early twentieth century is popular with collectors of vintage sheet music. This music is considered the foundation of modern jazz music. A ragtime music collection looks great displayed in a room decorated in the Early American style. And the cover art on rag time sheet music looks great displayed in picture frames on a wall or sofa table.

Music written by famous composers is popular among sheet music collectors. This music is readily available in all music genres. Other collectors focus on rare or vintage sheet music. The value of these documents depends largely on the condition of the sheets. Pieces in mint condition will be more expensive. Most sheet music isn’t found in perfect condition. The spine of the sheet was usually broken to make the score stand up in the music stand. Spills, tears and names written on the covers are common because sheet music was often used at parties.

Sheet music displayed in a family room or bar area makes a great focal point. Even people who don’t collect sheet music use it in a display of other collectibles. Collectors of beer, whisky, golf, military, cigars or trains can find sheet music to accent their collection. A few pieces of sheet music with great cover art enhance a display of other collectibles. Collectors of memorabilia from movies or Broadway productions often look for sheet music written for the production.

Any sheet music that isn’t displayed should be stored properly to preserve the condition. Store each set of sheet music in a plastic baggie like those used for comic book collections. Place those bags in a large plastic storage container to protect them from being ripped or crumpled. Store your containers in a dry place away from sunlight or moisture, which can damage the music.

As if I need to explain, there are many who doubt just why Outkast are such legendary icons in music. In a time where hip-hop music was dominated largely by the North, southern hip-hop artists were given little to no respect as far as being able to produce anything more than “booty shake music.” Enter Outkast, a laid back, eccentric duo from one of the ghettos of Atlanta (East Point//Southwest Atlanta {S.W.A.T.S} to be exact). Around 1992-1993, they emerge as a lyrical force that would not and could not be ignored. Big Boi and Andre released their first single, “Players Ball” in 1993 and the single was followed by an album, Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik, in 1994.

The album mostly was an account of their lives growing up and for the most part, a motivational album targeted to the streets. With all odds seemingly against them, the duo went on to achieve platinum status for this album and the rest is history.

But when it comes to Big Boi and Andre 3000, you cannot simply base their greatness on just the fact that they are able to make good rhymes. Everything from their appearance to the deliverance of their lyrics makes them true trendsetters of their time.Picture this, two young, rebellious African-American males who are trying to do all they can to make it something out of their lives. They release their first album, Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik, and the streets love them. Their next album, ATLiens gets even more acclaim from fans and now the world is listening. But it’s their next album, Aquemini, where Outkast really shows their courage. The duo begin talking about spaceships, time travel, conspiracies and other things that it would seem the fans from their first album just weren’t trying to hear.

But no, even with the outrageous topics that the duo were touching on, the fans still in the end were able to respect the duo for just being themselves, while at the same time keeping it real. This is where the true testament of their greatness comes in. Throughout the career, even with their mind-boggling lyrics, outrageous videos, and crazy dressing styles, everyone (fans, other musical artists, non-fans) still had the utmost respect for them as individuals.

As much beefing, and drama that is often entailed in the hip-hop world, I can’t recall one artist or group that actually expressed their genuine dislike of Outkast. In their 10+ year career! That alone should receive an award. And no matter what crazy outfit Andre comes out the house with next, or name he decides he wants to go by, or no matter what the duo announces they’re next plans are, most people can do nothing but say, “Well, I’m not surprised, that’s just Outkast for you…”

If you want to know why duo is so great, I’ll tell you why. Throughout their career Outkast, as well as Goodie Mob and the Dungeon Family, have broken countless barriers in order to be heard, achieved success around the world, all the while, while maintaining the respect of all fans. Outkast are truly monumental icons of their time, and this should never be disputed.

Music has been a part of existence since time immemorial. And, it is everywhere –in the rhythms of nature, the chatter of animals and birds, the babbling of babies, and in the dancing of brooks. Listen and you will hear sweet tunes all weaving a magic of their own.

It is well known that the origins of music go back at least 50,000 years. Music seems to be ingrained in our genetics and tunes are rhythms that are integral to our lives.

Music seems to play many roles in our lives:

•	Research indicates the children who learn music are more likely to become doctors, engineers, and computer professionals. Music learning develops areas of the brain responsible for language as well as reasoning. Music is known to sharpen memory. A Rockefeller Foundation study reveals that those who studied music have SAT scores of 427.

•	If a child in the womb of its mother listens to music it is born with highly developed intelligence.

•	Music molds people—it teaches coordination, teamwork, discipline, and self-expression.

•	The therapeutic values of music are well documented. It heals people with mental problems, developmental and learning disabilities, Alzheimer’s disease, brain trauma, and hypertension. That music heals has been recorded in the works of Aristotle and Plato and in the centuries that followed.

•	That plants respond to music is reality not a myth. Plants are known to thrive with music and also move towards the sound.

•	Children who grow up in a music filled environment are happy, fulfilled, and joyous.

•	Music takes the devout closer to god and in religion congregational singing has always worked. Singing hymns lifts any heaviness from the mind and frees the soul.

•	When music is played in hospital waiting rooms and so on it ebbs tensions and calms the mind.

•	Music has meditative properties and can be used for healing, exercising, and training modules.

•	When music plays, people function better. Many find that they enjoy work or activities like cooking and cleaning when music is playing. It erases tensions and lifts weights off the shoulder. Music actually introduces lightness into the body.

•	Music reflects the culture of a society and strengthens bonds. It creates a camaraderie and oneness as seen in football matches, military training, and festivals.

•	Romance and love would not have so many hues but for music. Music and song have captured feelings, passions, agony, distress, and more succinctly. Through song many a romance have been immortalized. Mating calls and songs are universal in nature.

•	Scientists are using music to map behaviors and unravel the many mysteries of the human mind and consciousness.

•	Music settles down anger and resentment quickly and also helps us overcome feelings of sorrow and loss. It lifts the mind and spirit out of despair and gives hope. From centuries ago a mother has always sung lullabies to her fussing child lulling it to sleep with softly whispered songs.

•	Music has other uses it can raise levels of excitement and cause frenzy. It is used to call armies to war by the beating of drums, to instigate raw emotions during revolts, and to drum up frenzy at football matches and rock shows.

Did you know that while classical music soothes and opens up channels in the mind, rock music can set pulses racing, and chants can send you into a trance. Music used differently has varied effects on human beings. Music can be a panacea or hell depends on how it is used.

You don’t have to take a trip to Las Vegas or Atlantic City anymore. In fact, you don’t even have to drive to your local casinos. All you have to do if you want to spend some time gambling is to flop down in front of your computer. You’ll soon find that online casinos have increased in popularity almost overnight.

It is perfect – you don’t have to leave your house, don’t have to worry about how much the person beside you is winning when you’re losing, don’t need to flag down a waitress and don’t even have to put decent clothing on. You can sit in your own house, in your pajamas and scroll through all of your online casinos.

Soon you will see that there are more online casinos than you could have imagined. You should carefully choose what casino sounds more practical for you though. Don’t just pick the first online casino site that you find, and take that as an advice!

Some of them might let you play with fake money but as soon as you want to put real money in it, you may find that if you live in the USA, you won’t be able to retrieve any winnings. As a friendly caution of advice, be sure to read all of the fine print and make sure that everything is understandable.

Nowadays, people have realized that they would rather play casino games and gamble online than being in the actual casino because whenever you want to quit your amount saves itself for your next visit, as you don’t have to cash out.

There are a few things to look for when dealing with online casinos. See if there is a fee for withdrawing money from them when you want to take what is rightfully yours. Make sure that there isn’t a sign-up fee or membership fee. And lastly, don’t be afraid to ask questions. Read as much fine print as possible but don’t compromise something that you feel strongly about.

The biggest dilemma though with online casinos is that they are much more addictive than being in an actual casino. A few might find themselves playing their online casinos while they working or spending most of their time with it in the evenings. You could be poor or maybe you’ll become rich playing it. You’ll never know how you might end up.

What I do know is that online casinos have become very popular. Since then, many companies have changed their policies and made the choice to let Americans log on or they’ve made the choice to not allow Americans to even be on their online casino.

Just make sure to choose wisely and to stay within your financial means.

It’s a Dance Hall Inside! hindi music

Until I took a class in visceral manipulation, I didn’t know that we have a dance party going on inside of us. Really! Inside our torsos, from collarbone to pelvis, everything is moving all the time. Our stomach is doing a hot cha, cha, cha — and not just after we¹ve eaten. As for the heaving and pumping of the heart and lungs, we all know that without their movement we’d be past tense. The liver gets thumped by the diaphragm and wiggles a bit with each breath. And the intestines — they get the prize just for size! All these organs are moving constantly, even while we sleep.
The first time I felt a stomach in a visceral manipulation class (it sort of rolls, squeezes and flicks its tail, which is called the pylorus), my eyes got big. I called over my teacher, Alain Gehin, who is French, and said breathlessly, “Alain, is the stomach actually doing this?” I traced a pattern in the air and then blushed as I realized how suggestive it looked. “Ah!” he said in his divine accent. “So you have discovered it!” Then I swear he winked.

The Basic Moves Free hindi music
It turns out that our organs have three separate movements. These movements are called motility (movement inherent within), mobility (movement they are designed to do), and motricity (movement between organs). Take the stomach. Motility is the roll, squeeze and flick that I had felt. It does that all the time, though the movement is markedly more subtle when we haven’t eaten in a while. When we eat, the stomach moves into high gear. Mobility occurs as the stomach receives food, moves it through the system and adds acids to the mix to aid in digestion. When we take a deep breath and our diaphragm moves downward to help the lungs take in the air, it presses on the top of the stomach. The stomach reacts by ‘cringing’ a little and that’s motricity.

The entire inside of the torso is called the viscera, and the organs within are the visceral organs. These organs perform very important functions: the heart pumps blood; the lungs breathe; and the intestines digest. They regulate all other systems of the body. The digestive pathology alone represents 70% of the functional diseases from which we suffer. Most of those problems stem from the lack of proper movement in some part of the digestive system. When we say, “we are what we eat,” we also refer to the fact that the health of a human being is reflected by the health of his or her greater intestine.

In approximately 70 years of life, each of us will process about 12 tons of food. This used to be simple food. Up until about 150 years ago, people had simple diets because everything they ate they made themselves. Imagine — no pickles without a week in the summer of putting up pickles. No applesauce without 24 hours of cooking down the apples. No biscuits in the morning without getting out the flour, eggs, shortening and mixing a batch.

No preservatives except natural ones — salt, drying, honey. Nowadays, it is much different. Food comes from the grocery store and is likely to have many additives. In fact, hundreds of chemicals are used in preserving food for the longer storage and shipping schedules. In 1999, the food industry placed 198 additives on the list — without testing them!

No wonder we have occasional problems, sometimes severe ones, such as acid reflux, ulcers, diverticulitis, gastritis, hiatal hernias! No wonder our livers, which filter contaminates out of our systems, are overworked! And no wonder gallbladders are overloaded from excess fat in our diets! Food should be our friend, not our enemy.

Assignments

Laboratory Reports: Take all five (5) dance lab classes (all on Thursdays). After each lab you will receive a lab report with questions to fill out at home and bring to me during the next class for credit (Tuesday).

General Guidelines for formatting Concert Critiques

1.	Do not use a title page.
2.	Put your name in the upper right hand corner of the first page. Put the class in which you are enrolled on the next single spaced line (Dance 110: TTH @ 9:30am). Put your title on the next line (still single-spaced). The titles for your papers should be: Concert Critique #1 or Concert Critique #2. Do not put your social security number, nor your student identification #, nor the date, nor my name.
3.	All papers must be typed in 12-pt size, Times New Roman font, and double-spaced (except for your name, etc.) You do not have any reason for tables, graphics or excessive quotes. Do not take two double-spaces between each paragraph.
4.	Use 1-inch margins top and bottom, 1.25 margins on the sides.
5.	Staple the pages together.
6.	Scoring for papers is based on the following format:
A.	Expression of ideas:
1. Continuity of language, smoothness flow, grammar, punctuation.
2. Economy of words, conciseness, getting to the point.
B.	Content:
1. Clear expression of ideas, how well you support your perspective.
2. Creative approach to the assignment, comprehension of class concepts as they pertain to your
paper, overall effort.
7.	Late papers will be marked down one point for each day they are late, except for weekends and holidays.
8.	Always keep a copy of your work.
9.	You may bring your paper to me for feedback before the due date. I will not do this over email; you must take notes while I read and give you advice. Remember that once it is turned in, there is no chance of redoing it.
10.	All papers must be in no later than April 27, 2006!
11.	Do not email or fax any paper for any reason.

Concert Critique: – Attend the required performance and write a 2-3 page critique for it. Follow the guidelines given below:
1.	Analyze each dance by assessing the “effect” of the work – what image, meaning, or emotion does each dance embody for you? Explain how intellectual, cultural, historical and/or emotional concepts/images are incorporated into each dance. This paper should focus on drawing connections between the various components of the dances and their larger cultural/social/emotional significance. You should then support the connections you make with concise descriptions of specific movement examples, as well as production elements (See Item #2). Try to show how the different elements (space/music/movement/costumes/lighting) contribute to the “meaning” of the work.
2.	In supporting your analysis of each dance your paper should describe any significant movement motifs (repeated movements or gestures), the dance form/genre employed, the predominant uses of level changes or choreographic devices, shapes made by the body, partnering/interactions between dancers, costuming, lighting, set design, and the nature of the music. Keep in mind that recurring uses of level, etc are usually part of what creates a movement motif within the work. Thus, in describing movement motifs you should be able to also address some of the other required elements. Be concise, yet detailed, descriptive, and clear in your discussion of the movement – discuss specific examples that are indicative of the dance as a whole, don’t just generalize. This means I expect to read concise, yet exacting, descriptions of significant movement motifs in your analysis of each dance!
3.	IMPORTANT!!! While I am not going to dictate the exact number of movement descriptions required for each dance, I can guarantee that you will almost always need to have a minimum of two per dance in order to fully support your analysis. But it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to make sure that you have provided an adequate description of the movement and other design elements that fully supports your analysis.
4.	Remember that this is an ESSAY, so you need to have a thesis statement inside of an opening paragraph, several body paragraphs supporting consistent ideas and a conclusion that refers back to your thesis and develops the idea further. You need to use proper English grammar and writing style.
5.	Be objective and use a formal, scholarly tone in your writing. Try not to describe what you see in the first person or with a casual tone.
6.	You should write about 3 dances: the first dance, the last dance, and one more dance of your choosing. DO NOT ARRIVE LATE NOR LEAVE EARLY!!
7.	Staple your ticket to the back of the paper.
8.	Papers are due within one week after you’ve seen the concert.
9.	Your title for the paper is either Concert Critique #1 or Concert Critique #2.

In meaning, whiskey translates to “water of life”. Whiskey originated from Scotland during the early 1400’s, and is very popular around the world today. Even today, whiskey tastes much like it did when it first began. Manufacturers of whiskey are strong on heritage, and therefore do all they can to capture the flavor that whiskey has always been known for http://www.businessinsurancequotes.org

For any occasion, whiskey is truly great. Whiskey is commonly used during weddings and ceremonies, and both the bride and groom will drink it to signify a relationship that will stand the test of time. The drink isn’t only served with weddings, as it is also popular in bars and restaurants as well. Those wishing to signify friendship can also serve whisky as a gesture of wanting to be friends.

Whiskey also makes a great gift for friends, employees, and even executives. Around the office, whiskey is very popular. When someone has had a tough day at work, few things bring out the best like whiskey. It can help someone relax, and make them feel at ease. Drink enough of it however – and you will feel as if you are king of the world!
