Digging is also a part of enjoyment and puppies love to dig the mud and floor. Therefore you can allow them to rush to your backyard in the house for digging the holes with claws. They will get fun and enjoyment. If you keep them inside the crate, they will not be able to scratch the ground and therefore they will try to dig the hard rocky floor of your house.
