Cards turning up in the post? Then its one of these events
Cards and letters when sent through direct mail services still seem to mean more than a quick message via the social sites. Yes, we thank you for the comments via the social sites (the nice ones anyway), but there is more feeling with a card due to the effort put in. Here are the cards that actually mean something to recieve.
Valentines day cards. Even if you have an idea who sent it, its bound to start your day off well. They can be so corny that you do cringe, laugh or vomit, maybe even all three sometimes- but the fact is someone cares enough to put the time into it. They might also send chocolates with it to sweeten the deal and win your heart. And for those of you who didnt ever get one? You’ll live, stop crying ……please just stop. jeez.
Birthday cards. Another reason other than they have money in? Surely not. Wherther your bday is a reason to celebrate or not, the right card will cheer you up or make the day even better. always remember- Putting their age on the card wont cheer them up. It also shows you which people think enough of you to actually know when your birthday is.
Xmas cards. The ones people send out as an indication that september has started, not the ones with cash from your granny in. The more cards you receive the more ‘popular’ you are- sending them to yourself doesnt count though. Also a subtle hint to tell people to buy you a present.
And heres some days we really should be using the mail room services for sending cards for. Not to be taken seriously, by the way.
Halloween. Celebrate the kids throwing eggs at your house with a spooky card?
Pancake day. The sweetest day of the year and my new national holiday should have cards given on them -shouldnt it? Preferable the card will be made of a pancakes- just hope they didnt send the maple syrup with it.
St Patricks day -the day where the whole world becomes irish for a day -so why not say how much we love Ireland with a card.
